ICF Wall Backfill, Sub-Slab Backfill and Grading

3 Videos

The ICF walls are now poured and the foundation waterproofing is complete. In the prior video series we removed the bracing to prep for backfill and grading.

In this series we are starting to backfill the ICF wall with drain rock to minimize damage should the excavation sluff. Then we move on to the sub-slab grade. Bringing up the grade in lifts using crushed rock and a compactor builds a strong base to eventually pour the slab on. We’ll finish the grading with sand to help create a good base for ground rough plumbing and a super level surface for slab preparations.
