A super fun project starting with trees and a chainsaw mill becomes the first structure we built on our off grid property. Wanting to practice projects together as a couple, wanting to learn to make our own materials from our resources and really excited to have a warm luxury we start by dropping trees, slabbing the logs and then make lumber we use to build a 24’x24′ hot tub deck.

This project was so fun because we made it from mostly our own resources which was a precursor to building own home using the same resourcefulness.
